CELL MANAGEMENT
The cell management within a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) System is vital to manage the overall module performance, cycle life and ensuring total safety. To maintain a healthy battery system, our Voltage Management System (V.M.S.) is an essential component to the LiFeBATT system, but balancing cells and monitoring the cell voltage and temperature.
The V.M.S. has three main objectives, to:

The V.M.S. system is continually monitoring the cell voltage and temperature. It also records cycle count and low voltage, high voltage and high temperature errors. In addition and possibly the most important function, is the balancing of each cell with its neighbour.
The V.M.S. system outputs all available data over an RS232 communication bus at data rates ranging from 600bps to 115,000bps, which allows for a possibility of monitoring thousands of cells per second. Each V.M.S. is controlling 4 cells in series, with each V.M.S. serial connected, it is therefore possible to build up multiple series parallel battery configurations to suit any application.
Each LiFeBATT XPS battery module come complete with V.M.S. installed and pre-programed, to suit the application.
